DUBSEE (“we”, “the app”) helps you hear online videos with on-device dubbing in many languages. This policy explains what information is involved when you use the app.
1. Accounts
DUBSEE asks you to sign in with Apple or Google. We receive the name and email address that provider shares (Apple may give a private relay address instead of your real email) and an account identifier. Sign-in is handled by Firebase. We use this to keep your account and your subscription on this device. We do not sell this information.
2. Data stored on your device
The app may store on your device:
- App settings (language, voice, appearance, volume preferences)
- Library / history of videos you opened
- Cached language data and generated dubbing audio
- Onboarding state
- How many free videos you have used today
This information stays on your device unless you choose to share it yourself (for example by emailing support).
3. Network use
Depending on features you use, the app may:
- Load video pages / embeds for content you requested
- Fetch language data needed for on-device dubbing
- Download the advanced voice pack when you choose to install it
- Sign you in and check whether your subscription is active
- Show a rewarded advertisement when you choose to watch one
- Send the usage events described below
- Open external links you tap (privacy, terms, App Store, email)
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Advertising
Rewarded ads are provided by Google (AdMob). An ad plays only after you choose to watch one, so you can unlock an extra free video. We request non-personalized ads. Google may receive a device identifier, an approximate location derived from the IP address, advertising and performance data, and crash diagnostics, under Google’s privacy policy. We do not use this information to follow you across other companies’ apps.
5. Purchases
DUBSEE Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through the App Store, as a monthly or yearly plan, with a free trial when the store offers one. Apple processes the payment. We do not receive your full payment card number. Subscription status is read through RevenueCat so the app can unlock Pro on your account.
6. Usage analytics
The app sends usage events to Google Analytics: that the app was opened, sign-in, a video identifier for videos you open (not the page address), languages, playback, and whether a rewarded ad finished. Events can include a random identifier stored on the device and, when you are signed in, your account identifier. They do not include your email, name, or payment card.
